New Years Resolution to Make Money Online in 2011

0

If your New Years Resolution is to make money online in 2011 then you have come to the right page to get started. 2010 was a terrific year for me and I am extremely excited to get going in the new year, and I look forward to sharing what I have learned with you.

Here are some takeaways from 2010 for me.

  1. Automation is CRITICAL for long term success
    • Time management becomes a HUGE problem once you have established a money making campaign. You HAVE to AUTOMATE tasks in order to be able to MOVE ON to the next campaign. If you do not automate your successful campaigns you will either stop making money on them (if you move on to new markets) or you will have to continue to focus increasing amounts of attention on them (trying to keep the cash flow coming). Automating campaigns allows you to start working on other projects while continuing to squeeze cash out of old campaigns by directing new visitors to the high converting pages and links.
  2. List building equals MONEY
    • When you have a subscriber list and send a message out to that list either with backlinks to your page or with direct advertising in it, the percentage numbers game starts to work FOR YOU (whereas in your J-O-B the percentage game always works AGAINST you relative to your boss). The open rates on email posts is pretty standard with some variation. Suffice to say the greater your credibility, the higher the open rate of your emails to subscribers. When you send out an email announcing a new product or new tip or new service, SOME percentage of subscribers will open it. When they do, another percentage will click on some link within that email. Another percentage will sign up or buy something you’re advertising. BINGO-slash-CHA-CHING! That’s money for you every time you send something out to your subscribers. No LIST? NO SUBSCRIBERS, NO MONEY.
  3. Free Methods are great to get started but NOT ENOUGH to create a real income stream
    • Free content and website methods are great to get some cash, a few sales here or there but the REAL money comes from having the freedom to put your own content out on the web without restrictions.
    • Secondly, your goal in trying to make money online in 2011 should be about making a sustainable INCOME STREAM – not just a pot-shot sale here and there. This means making sure every campaign makes an effort to build a list, and creating a series of automated messages that go out to that list to help make sure your best content gets in front of every set of eyes that visits your site(s). Getting an automated message to readers REQUIRES AN AUTORESPONDER PROGRAM. THIS COSTS MONEY. GET OVER FRETTING ABOUT THE COST AND JUST DO IT. Once you have an account you can create as many autoresponder email series as you want for as many campaigns as you have. This leverages your time immensely!
  4. You CAN make money online in 2011
    • There is no doubt in my mind that more individuals like you and me will make money online in 2011 because the playing field keeps getting flatter and flatter. Google, Facebook, and Twitter have so thoroughly re-written the rules for internet marketers in the last year that even the most entrenched, most successful in the business have had to completely re-engineer their income streams because of the changes. New internet marketers can succeed by making new campaigns under the new rules while old marketers have to wrangle with their now defunct campaigns just to try to stay liquid and keep in the game! The old ways don’t work the same as they used to, which means GOOD NEWS for NEW ENTRANTS.

I hope you have found these takeaways from 2010 helpful and encouraging to you for the New Year. You can make money online in 2011, just like I did in 2010. The more you learn the better it gets, and the more you automate, the more you can earn.
